+ Day 1 - Windhoek | Villa Vista Guesthouse
Windhoek

In the heart of central Namibia, you find the cosmopolitan city of Windhoek, the capital of the country.


Day Itinerary

When you arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport you are met by the car rental company representative who transfers you to Windhoek. Upon arrival at the car rental the friendly rental agent then takes you through the car rental contract as well as explain all the rental conditions. You are then conducted a thorough demonstration of the vehicle before you depart to your guesthouse in the city.

Villa Vista is an upmarket family friendly guesthouse situated in a quiet neigbourhood close to the Windhoek city centre. The family rooms have interleading doors to link the rooms.
Looking out over the garden, swimming pool, town, western mountains and afternoon sunsets, the open terrace offers a romantic and peaceful experience.

+ Day 2 - Kalahari | Kalahari Anib Lodge

Namibia’s second most famous desert, the Kalahari Desert, also means ‘the great thirst’ which is an amazingly beautiful living desert. The vast semi-arid sandy savannah landscape with its sea of sand covering most of eastern Namibia is also the last habitat of the indigenous San people. The Kalahari landscape is home to red sands with golden grass and acacia trees popping up occasionally while a wide variety of wildlife including gemsbok, impala, jackals and cheetah might be spotted.


Day Itinerary

Breakfast is early, between 7 Am and 10 Am and afterwards you will depart from the guesthouse. The first stop is the grocery store to stock-up on some snacks and drinks for the trip. Do not forget lots of water and cold drinks. Proceed out of Windhoek heading south on the B1 where your journey takes you via the historical town of Rehoboth and the village Kalkrand enroute to Kalahari Anib Lodge, your retreat for the night in the heart of the Kalahari Desert.

Savour the Kalahari Desert at this easily accessible lodge. Stretch legs on the walks and join the afternoon drive to experience the red Kalahari sands aglow with an inner fire.

+ Day 3 - Sossusvlei | Desert Homestead Lodge
Sossusvlei

Sossusvlei is located in the scenic Namib-Naukluft National Park and is famous for its red sand dunes rising to almost 400 metres which are some of the highest in the world. With its clear blue skies contrasting against the giant red dunes this breathtaking destination is quite likely Namibia’s premier attraction. Have an adventure and climb ‘Big Daddy’, one of Sossusvlei’s tallest dunes; explore Deadvlei, a white, salt, claypan dotted with ancient trees; or for the more discerning, hot air balloon flights are available, followed by a once-in-a-lifetime champagne breakfast in these majestic dunes.


Day Itinerary

Today you drive into the Namib Desert, towards Sesriem, the entrance to the world-famous Namib Naukluft Park which is home to the magical Sossusvlei and Dead Valley. You will arrive in the afternoon when it is normally too hot to go to the dunes, but the sparkling swimming pool at your lodge makes up for this. Have a dip in the cold water!

Day Itinerary

Arrange with your lodge for breakfast packs to take away with you today while you depart early to drive to Sesriem, the entrance to the dunes at Sossusvlei. You will go all the way to the 4×4 car parking area from where you explore the dunes at Sossusvlei as well as Dead Valley, on foot.
Sesriem Canyon can be visited on your way out of the park as this is located towards the gate.

+ Day 5 - Swakopmund | Swakopmund Luxury Suites

The seaside town of Swakopmund is nestled along Namibia’s awe-inspiring scenic coast and is known for its pedestrian-friendly walkways, German architecture, and the surrounding magical desert terrain. Swakopmund is adventure capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has something to keep every visitor delighted. Visitors can look forward to various adrenalin-filled activities including quad biking, horse riding, paragliding, fishing, sightseeing, boat cruises, and fascinating 4×4 desert tours.


Day Itinerary

Today you proceed via the town of Solitaire on the C14 towards Swakopmund. At Solitaire you can stop for some famous apple pie, towards the coastal town of Swakopmund, your home for the next two nights.
You spend two nights at the Coast in a comfortable BB.

Damaraland is a magical, almost surreal landscape which hosts many fascinating geological phenomena, such as rare stone formations, the petrified forest, ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, the ‘Organ Pipes’ and Burnt Mountain. The landscape has very interesting and rare flora and is also known for the desert-adapted elephant that roams the dry riverbeds.


Day Itinerary

Today you proceed to the northwestern area of Namibia known as Damaraland and home to some of most diverse landscapes and geological attractions. Your lodge is situated close to the Petrified Forest and Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site.

+ Day 9 - Etosha | Etosha Mountain Lodge
Etosha

Right outside the south-western border of Etosha National Park you find Etosha Heights Private Reserve set in an enthralling landscape home to a great variety of flora and fauna. Explore the vast reserve on a game drive which offer the chance to see kudu, lion and the elusive mountain zebra (in the hills) and sable, black-faced impala, giraffe, aardvark, elephant and many more (around the waterholes).


Day Itinerary

From Damaraland you drive via Kamanjab and Outjo to Etosha National Park’s southern region where your lodge for the next two nights is situated on a private, exclusive reserve.

Etosha Mountain Lodge is designed in the typically Namibian style with beautiful far-reaching views from the dolomite hill on which it stands.
Daily activities include game drives on the Reserve, tracking the elusive Black and White Rhino and the growing population of big cats. The Reserve acts as a wildlife buffer for the National Park so guests have the chance to learn more of the conservation and protection efforts that are in place in the area.

+ Day 11 - Etosha | Mushara Bush Camp
Etosha

Mushara Bush Camp, located in Etosha East, a protected sanctuary in the eastern part of the world-famous Etosha National Park, the most prominent National Park and game reserve in Namibia. This remote area is home to an abundance of wildlife such as lions, elephants, black rhinos and giraffes, as well as a variety of birdlife featuring flamingos, ostriches, eagles, hornbills, and owls.


Day Itinerary

Proceed to the Eastern side of Etosha National Park, this time to the Mushara Game Reserve which is just 10 kilometres from the Von Lindequist gate of the Etosha National Park.

The Mushara Bush Camp offers a down-to-earth tented bush camp experience which is well suited as a basis base for independent travellers and families exploring the magical Etosha Pan National Park.

Otjiwa Safari Lodge is situated 40 km’s south of Otjiwarongo, a perfect location from where to explore numerous attractions the area has to offer. The world-renowned Cheetah Conservation Fundis situated just outside Otjiwarongo and offers day tours for visitors curious to learn more about these cats of prey.


Day Itinerary

Leaving Etosha National Park behind you proceed south via Tsumeb and Otjiwarongo to your destination for the next two nights. Otjiwa Lodge is a perfect place to unwind and spend the last two nights in Namibia.

Otjiwa works towards the enhancement of animal welfare of some endangered and several rare species and is also the home of an exceptional variety of bird species.
