Introduction
This fly-in safari visits Namibia’s premier attractions; Sossusvlei and Etosha.
Located in the scenic Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa and a photographer’s heaven. This awe-inspiring destination is possibly Namibia’s premier attraction, with its unique dunes rising to almost 400 metres – making them some of the highest in the world. These iconic dunes come alive in morning and evening light and draw photography enthusiasts from around the globe. Sossusvlei is home to a variety of desert wildlife including oryx, springbok, ostrich and a variety of reptiles. Visitors can climb ‘Big Daddy’, one of Sossusvlei’s tallest dunes; explore Deadvlei, a white, salt, claypan dotted with ancient trees; or for the more extravagant, scenic flights and hot air ballooning are on offer, followed by a once-in-a-lifetime champagne breakfast amidst these majestic dunes.
Day Itinerary
Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you are met by our representative who assist you to board your scheduled flight to Sossusvlei’s Geluk airstrip.
You are transferred from the airstrip to the lodge, situated close to Sossusvlei with its own private entrance to the Namib Naukluft Park.
Wilderness Kulala Desert Lodge’s location at the foot of the majestic Sossusvlei dunes allows for stunning views in every direction, while its private entrance to the Namib Naukluft National Park makes it the closest location to Sossusvlei.

Day Itinerary
Today you have a guided excursion to the dunes at Sossuvlei. Departure from the lodge is before the sun rise. The drive in an open safari vehicle from the lodge to the feet of the dunes at Sossusvlei takes about 1 hour.
You will explore the Sossusvlei dunes, and the Dead Valley pan on foot and afterwards your guide will treat you to a lavish brunch at the designated picnic area close by.
Return to the lodge in time for lunch and this afternoon you will depart on a guided nature drive through the pristine landscape.

Set just outside the south-western border of Etosha National Park, Etosha Heights Private Reserve offers enthralling landscapes, a huge variety of flora and fauna, and a wide range of thrilling activities. Vast savannah, rivers, forests, Mopani woodland, salt pans and dolomite hills spread themselves over the 60,000-hectare area. Numerous safaris and game drives offer the chance to see kudu, lion, and the elusive mountain zebra (in the hills) and sable, black-faced impala, giraffe, aardvark, elephant and many more (around the waterholes). Visitors can also take night drives and bush picnics. A double-storey photography hide allows close-up encounters with an incredible diversity of gorgeous birdlife and animal life. Fantastic luxury facilities are provided by the accommodation options.
Day Itinerary
After breakfast you are transferred back to the airstrip for your flight back to Windhoek’s International Airport before departing on the next flight to Etosha.
At the airstrip, your lodge will pick you up and transfer you to the lodge which is your home for the next two nights.
Daily activities include game drives on the Reserve, tracking the elusive Black and White Rhino and the growing population of big cats. As the sun drops you can search for those nocturnal species not seen during the day. The Reserve acts as a wildlife buffer for the National Park so guests have the chance to learn more of the conservation and protection efforts that are in place in the area.
